Death Penalty-Scene from The Practice
Eugene Young is about to be made a judge but his interviewers are not very pleased with his views on the Death Penalty. Scene from the TV series 'The Practice'
I do not own this video and its main purpose is to depict a an excellent view on the death penalty.

An interesting scene from 'Dilbert' - Dilbert thought he lost his 'knack' for engineering skills. The truth was - as implied in this scene.

A brief but probably one of the best conversation with God! :P
Thittuvilai Jumma Masjid ❤❤❤
I’m not saying this isn’t emotional or powerful, but the voice he’s doing feels very big for the seriousness of the subject matter
Jesus is the answer. Whoever is reading this you may feel lost in life; you may feel like giving up, wishing it would all end. You want peace, but can’t find it. You’ve looked for it in women, drugs, alcohol, porn, money, and so much more, but you feel emptier the more you do it. The only one who can fill us is Jesus Christ, the living God; the one who came into this world as a man and died on the cross to save us from our sins (our wrongdoings against God). If you trust in Christ as your Lord and Savior you will be saved and you will go to Heaven when you die. One thing many people think once they come to God is everything will be perfect. The truth is it won’t be. Once you give your life to Christ the devil will attack you over and over again until you break, but Christ is there to strengthen you and to get you through all things. Give your life to Christ my friends. Without him, life means nothing.
Ha nah you’re alright mate
"I dont like remembering" My life story
Oscar worthy performance 😢❤👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
I can't believe I spent so much of my life not watching this movie.
BRAVO!!!! Deep, Emotional, and very very Intimate. Adam sir, this is your best work!!
The first time I saw this movie, I was in complete disbelief that Adam Sandler could do this
What makes this movie hurt so much is that this isn't fictional. This happened to someone, there are still so many people whose entire lives are shaped by what happened on September 11 while the rest of the world who weren't parsonally impacted are able to move on so much easier. When he says "I felt them burning" it makes my stomach drop and my heart sink every time. Adam Sandler's delivery of this monologue and the scene when he's walking through his house does an amazing job selling the pain the character's in, it makes me feel like this is the only way someone COULD live after something so horrific, puts you right in the character's headspace
Ahhh...serendipity.
People should have to live with what they did even if it haunts them. If they were strong enough to do it they're strong enough to live/be haunted by it. I agree with him the death penalty is wrong.
The realest Sandler movie.
Holy crap… Rhodey reading The Avengers! 😂
Good acting, but wrong conclusion. Capital punishment is retribution not revenge.
good movie
Beautifully phrased and well written speech. But I disagree wholeheartly. The death penalty is right for deterence.
what an awful movie
What an awful comment stfu 😂
Why is the movie awful?
Its masterful acting, but I just can't shake how when he gets that sideways face he's back to Satan's misfit son.
This movie brings back the pain of 9/11 for me every time. Such horror. So many lives destroyed.
Nice
Whenever I see him act I can feel the hollowness of heartbreak and grief in my chest
So brilliant. How Adam Sandler didn't even get nominated, let alone win an Oscar for this role is beyond me. Having lost one of my closest friends on the first plane, it is especially significant, yet well over 22 years after the event, watching his performance, it is ridiculous to me that Daniel Day Lewis won and Sandler wasn't nominated.
oscars are a popularity contest, if the movie doesn't sell past a certain treshold of money then they won't even nominate it
Typically, yes, but there are exceptions; Moonlight, Boyhood. This is one that should have been nominated. I think Adam Sandler's sophomoric past films are far more likely the reason, however. Which is unfortunate. When he is in serious roles, he is truly remarkable.
@@Gaming_Legend2 Hurt Locker won Best Picture while making less than this did
Holy shit
As someone who lost an amazing wife in a horrible accident i couldn't even finish watching this scene the first time I saw it...he was so immersed in the scene it breaks me down everytime i see it!!!
Adam Sandler was amazing in this film he truly deserved an Oscar for this!!!
I'll say it again, his best film.
Adam Sandlers best performance...
Condone's revenge..? How much did we, the American people, spend to kill Bin Laden...? And the President did a touch down dance on national tv. So...yeah.
Understanding his character, he doesn't like to remember, its something hard to do, great acting describing what alot of folks went through
You know what pisses me off? Adam Sandler was this close to getting nominated for an Academy Award for Uncut Gems but some Ahole at the academy think he's not worthy because he makes stupid comedies.
there is a lot of people like that inside of the academy, the people who nominate the movies have said on record that "animation is for kids so i just let my kids pick for me", that is why you don't see stuff like Paprika being nominated for best picture let alone animation even tho its basically a more entertaining version of Inseption that came 4 years prior, stuff like this kinda happens a lot every year.
episode?
It's amazing when he turns and acknowledges that she's been listening the whole time. He needed his friend to talk to, but he knew she was listening the whole time
6:35 the look on Don Cheadle’s face , it just shows how he understands the pain Adam Sandler is in
How’d he not get an Oscar
The waiting room scene is without a doubt one of the most heart breaking scenes ive ever seen
THAT AND the courtroom scene, where Sandler looses his mind!!! 😭
The death penalty insures that a perp will never ever hurt anyone again
Sweet revenge, I love it
Alan Shore is the best fictional lawyer. Saul Goodman and Eugene Young tie for second.
His candidacy should have been over the second he uttered the first "No" to the question whether he'd impose CP if it was law. He's going off his own emotions, feelings, and sympathies, rather than the law. That's a no-go for a judge.
And when the one judge told him what he'd say to the mother of a girl who'd been [rhymes with grape] and murdered, you can see that he literally had to stop himself from saying "That I don't give a shit"
First breath - "Too many judges don't respect and follow the law and just do what they want according to theuir own feelings." Next breath - "I won't follow that law because I feel it's wrong."
Kak, human rights for humans! If you know the penalty for killing someone is death, and you cross that line, good bye
Now go back into the Bible when God ordered the death of every man woman and child. What would he have to say about that?
The movie itself was godawful but adam sandlers performance was astounding.
Thanks for u and ur crappy opinion 🎉🎉🎉
@thomastoal2892 the acting does a lot to carry it but the story itself is pretty preachy and contrived. I stand by what I said.
Good for u keep standing but 🤐
@@thomastoal2892 who talks like this 😆 are you butthurt over an opinion of a movie?

When somebody murders another person of Vetsera the state, even when they give the death penalty wait way too long at my family I’m gonna take care of business myself. If I hear of anybody this done the same and I’m on the jury I’m gonna let them go.
I cried before when i watched this long before I met my wife. I feel it even more now that I have her, my daughter, dogs and cat. (All female pets). This cuts deep. I don’t know what I would do without them. It’s heart wrenching just to slightly imagine my life without them. They’re all I got.
See he’s better at emotional roles….
Talk about heart-wrenching, especially if you're a parent. I had to pause the video half way through this scence to recompose myself.
I am a retired engineer with a certifiable Knack in all its manifestations and I mean ALL of them including making a ham radio from TV parts and "utter social ineptitude." I have never lost my Knack, but I can imagine what a personal devastation that would be. When these Dilbert cartoons first came out, I was absolutely convinced that there was a secret camera or a trained spy in our engineering department because it seemed just way, way too improbable that these cartoons addressed so minutely and accurately the very things going on at work. My boss even had a bald head with pointy side hair and a rather poor understanding of how things actually worked. Yes, we had our Wally and our Alice and HR was nothing but evil, evil I say. I will say that most of my projects did work though.
I lost my fiance and her brother in a car accident in 2005. I was lost for almost 12 years without her. The way Sandler performed a man overcome with grief is heartbreaking but brilliantly executed.
My condolences, I hope you’re holding up okay after all this time, stay strong bro! Remember she’ll be with you always, in heart & spirit 🙏🏼

I lost a girlfriend to leukemia 8 years ago - it gets easier but it's incredibly sad 😭
In Europe, paper was made mostly out of old rags during the middle ages and modern times, even until the 19th century. Thats why they were actually seen as a valuable resource.
So dirty old Rag collection was actually a big industry and during some time periods there was even a export ban on rags. So as an Engineer, Dillbert shouldn‘t be surprised and should rather know about this.
